Day #181- It's Like Riding a Bike...

I have to preface this with a story..... last May the trio got bikes, and all 3 rode them well right away, but especially The Girl. They rode them everyday, and she in particular LOVED it. Until one day, about 2weeks after we got them, she fell off. It scared her, and she refused to get back on. For over a year. Instead- she's been riding her Razor scooter. TODAY she decided, that it was time to try again, and I was so proud of her! She got on it, and took off...and proved the old saying :)

Day #180- Truck Drivers

A few weeks ago the boys discovered that they could ride their toy dump trucks down our yard....so it's now a favorite activity to have races :) Their dad thinks this is hysterical- so we have it on video and these pics I snapped for him. And he loves them. As do I- Their joy is almost palpable :)

We have these growing all over our flower garden...and I adore them :)

Day #176- My Idea of Heaven

Tonight at Ravinia Park in Chicago. I am a HUGE fan- I think this is the 15th or 16th time I've seen them in concert. Ravinia Park is an amazing place.

Day #175- T-Ball Star

One of my g/f's sons- at his 1st T-Ball practice ever. He was SO excited he was practically glowing :) This was after his 1st time at bat- on his way to 1st base :)

Day #174- Isn't She Delish?!

My g/f's adorably delicious daughter :) She's so photogenic it's insane. You'll see more of her as I'm taking pics of her and her brothers in a few days :)

We have these growing all over our garden and she loves to pick them :) Is that not the worst fake cheesey smile EVER?! lol

Day #171- Bunny Girl

She literally wore these ALL day today- around the house, outside in the neighborhood, to the post office, to Fantastic Sams, to Target....she's such a goofball sometimes :) "But mommy- they are like a headband- but better!" :) Who am I to deny that :)

Day #170- The ellusive boy

You don't see as many pics of Boy #2 as he is impossible to photograph. He is constantly moving 100mph plus he's super expressive- as in makes a lot of faces, and is the king of the fake smile. That top one might be one of my faves of him in a long time.

Day #169- My Personal Musician

Many nights after dinner my lovely husband takes his guitar outside to play and sing, while the kids play and I kick back and listen. Tonight was one of those nights.

Day #168- Sprinkler Fun

We spent Father's Day with DHs family at their house- it was HOT so all the grandkids played in the sprinkler and threw water balloons :)

Day #167- Summer Shoes

My trio are in LOVE with their summer shoes :) They wear them everyday. Boy #1 is super thrilled because he gets green ones- his favorite color :)

Day #165- Beach Days Return

For the past 9months I've heard weekly "WHEN can we go to the beach?!" A summer routine that my kids love dearly- our weekly visits to our neighborhood beach. We LOVE it there- the water is super shallow and roped off for swimming, but the best part is that it's never very crowded as just down the road is a much more popular and trendy beach. We prefer this one :)

Day #162- Grinning Girl With Gum

This summer I started allowing the kids to have gum as a special reward from time to time. They LOVE it of course. About an hour after this photo was taken I discovered the gum in tiny pieces mashed in her hair. According to her she was "Strecthing it out" and it got tangled. So now she has some bald spots on her head where we had to cut it out. Thankfully she has nice thick hair so it's not noticeable.

Day #161- The Life of a Dog

Our Beast lounging in the sun :) He's a 6yr old Australian Shepherd. When he was a puppy I held a naming contest at my school (I was an Elem.Teacher) and the student who won named him after the Australian beer... so can you guess his name? :) lol

Day #160- S'more smores please!

Tonight we did a bonfire and the kids roasted marshmallows for s'mores. I love it when they says "S'more smores please!" :)

Day #156- 2 Dancing Princesses

Today was The Girl's last day of dance class till Fall, and they did a little recital for the parents. She's gotten pretty good in the past year- I'm impressed! She's doing ballet and tap- and she just LOVES it- which is what's most important to me :)

Day #155- Purple Iris

My neighbor has these growing around her lamp, and today in the rain I took a pic because they just looked so gorgeous :) I *think* it's an iris- but correct me if I'm wrong :)

Day #154- Three IS the magic number

This will make the most sense if you are familiar with the DeLaSoul song- which was a favorite of my friends and I in college. If you have your sound turned on- you're listening to it right now :) So- the photo- 5 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with triplets I was pretty overwhelmed. There were moments that I thought I would NEVER be able to do it- to be a mom to triplets just seemed insane. After finding out we were expecting 3, one day in the mail, this arrived from my awesome college roomie and friend J. When I opened it and saw it- I broke into hormonal tears and cried hysterically. It was perfect- and exactly what I needed. And she was right- 3 IS the magic number. :) This has always hung in my kids room as a reminder for how lucky I am- not only to have 3 amazing kids, but also that I am so blessed to have wonderful friends :)
