Day #90- Rainy Day Painting

Still raining! My kids are unwilling targets- so instead I took pics of some of their art hanging in their rooms. This is a painting The Girl did last month at school. I just adore it- it's such a happy painting :) It's her and her friend Ava :)

The Girl has been taking dance for almost 2yrs now- but this is her first session with Tap :) Her "Recital" was today- I could just eat her up! (she's all the way on the right) The lighting in there is HORRIBLE- I always struggle taking pics :(

Day #85- Listen to me

This photo just makes me laugh- because boy #2 LOVES to be up high. We think in a previous life he was a bird, as he loves to perch on things. He was up on our wooden wall giving bossy directions to his siblings :) The blue mouth is from a popsicle- it hit 81* today! That's CRAZY for MN in March! But the kids are loving it! (me too)

Day #81- A Good Photo Day :)

I drive by this tiny park near our house all the time- but have never stopped. Until today. It was right before sunset and the light was SO lovely!
I've been shooting in full manual lately- I use to do more AP, but the metering has been off. Manual's a little tricky in natural light, but I'm getting the hang of it! And I officially LOVE back-button-focus. I'll never go back- I switched last month and I'm SO glad I did! It just makes more sense to me, and my focus has been SO much better, esp w/the 50mm lens.

Day #80- Puddle-ing

"Puddle-ing" is what my kids look forward to in the spring- what's more fun as 4yr olds!
I LOVE the photo of Boy #1 jumping :) And a rare group shot of the trio- how cute are their raincoats and boots?! :)

Day #79- A Boy & His Truck

Boy #1 with his *favorite* truck. See the words on the side?? Yes- when you push the buttons on the top, it actually plays the song. Queen's "We Will Rock You" - Repetitively and loudly. And the little round red speakers you see- ACTUALLY pump up and down. He LOVES it, and therefore, we hear the song constantly around here. Feeling sorry for me yet? lol Everytime I hear it I feel like I'm in high school again at a hockey game surrounded by loud boys with mullets. He got it for Xmas 2yrs ago, not from us mind you, and it was one of those gifts that when your child opens it you are thinking "seriously?!!" and of course much to your chagrin the kid LOVES it- so what can you do but wait for the batteries to die?

Day #77- Crystal

Okay- I have to confess this is NOT my photo :) My kids love using my camera to take photos, and occasionally I allow them to. I stick it on auto and let them snap away. Today Boy #2 walked all over my dad's house snapping pics of all sorts of things. This is one of them. I kinda like it- so thought I'd share my prodigy's pic! lol

Day #74- Gotcha!

Today we spent the afternoon out at the Arboretum with our good playgroup friends. The kids (7 4yr olds!) had a blast. Boy #2 is SO hard to capture in photos- he's an overly expressive kid- and is FAST, so often elusive to me. I love this photo because it's so HIM :)

Day #72- Mud Pies & Clean Hands

This afternoon the kids made "mud soup" outside. There's just nothing like fresh spring mud in your hands! The Girl- taking full advantage of spring...muddy hands...then washing them off in the water that's streaming down our street from the melting snow.

Day #60- What Would Ina Do?

Today we were hit with a major snowstorm- like CRAZY snow (pic #1) so since we are snowbound....what's better than a big pot of soup? (pic #2)
Actually- it's my attempt at being Susie Homemaker and using the leftovers and bones from last nights roasted chicken- to make homemade chicken stock. Looks good doesn't it?!
As for my post title- you have to be a foodie to know who Ina is. I'm a huge fan- she rocks :)
