Oh- and the new song...is one of my all time FAVORITE songs. Ever. It makes me happy as it reminds me of the Mpls Block Party about 12yrs ago, when Martin Zellar was playing, and he did this as a cover. Just FABULOUS :) Everytime I hear this song it instantly makes my heart happy :)
My peonies are in full bloom!! I just love them :) They are so bright this year- much more fuchia than I remember! Living in MN where it's winter pretty much 9months of the year- it really makes you appreciate summer color! :) It's amazing how quickly things can change (See Day #143)
My g/f and I have been friends for, wow, over 20years now! Every year while camping we try to get a group pic of our kids together- so this is this years! :)
The Boy worked SO hard to be able to climb this tree- and finally on Sunday he mastered it :) He was so proud of himself! I LOVE his expression in this photo :)
There's been a little population explosion in my group of friends :) In the past 5months- 6 new babies have arrived! This weekend 1 camped and 3 visited :) They are in oldest to youngest order :)
This is the adorable 2yr old son of my g/f- he's a very busy and fully TWO year old 2yr old. Those of you with kids know what I mean- he's a handful! :) lol He worked so hard on this picture and it was the longest I saw him sit still the entire weekend! :)
I've been CRAZY busy- but I have been taking photos everyday!!! Just haven't had time to edit and post them. We're off to go camping for the weekend- but when I get back I promise to update with all the pics from the 2weeks!! But here's one for now :)

Last fall I transplanted our peonies to a new spot in our yard and wasn't sure if they'd bloom this spring. But they are coming! :)
On Tuesdays The Girl takes dance, and during that hour the boys and I go next door to our local library. It's been part of our routine now for the past 2yrs, and a lovely part of our week.

Tonight I was sworn in as the new President of my Mothers of Multiples club- a task I am honored to have. So now I have a gavel :) lol
Today the kids and I spent the day planting our veggie garden. Tomatoes, radishes, carrots, parsnips, onions, snap peas, beans, and lots of herbs. But especially tomatoes- we planted 23 tomato plants! lol Last year we planted about 16, and the deer and other critters ate 90% of them. So hopefully this year we'll get a few for ourselves. :)
Lately the kids have been unwilling helpers- complaining anytime there's work to be done. BUT- today I was doing lots of planting/gardening and part of that of course is weeding. I told the trio that if they helped me, and did a good job I would give them 40c for their piggybanks AND a piece of gum. They busted their little butts pulling weeds, raking, hauling debree- it was fabulous!
The 2nd photo makes me laugh, Boy #2 was playing hide-n-seek in the day lillies :)
At the park today- the kids and their friends turned on the water spout underneath the fountain there. This was an hour of fun as all the kids played in and around it. It reminded me of kids playing in turned on fire hydrants in the street :)
My kids love dandylions- when they are yellow, they call them "little sunflowers" and when they turn white, they call them "Wishing flowers" and LOVE to blow them and make wishes :) I LOVE that in the bottom pic you can actually see the little seeds on them as they are floating away.
My hubby is dreadfully allergic to these- which makes me sad, because I LOVE them! They are in bloom right now all over our neighborhood and smell sooooooo lovely. Sadly my hubby is a sneezy disaster right now- so since I can't have any clippings of them in my home- I'll have to settle for a photo :)
Just some weeds growing on our property :) I've always felt that the label of "weed" vs "flower" was pretty arbitrary :) And I love that my kids call them all flowers :)
Today the kids and I went to the store to decide on dinner, and decided to pick up kabob stuff- and I let them pick the veggies we should use. Once home- they loved deciding what to put on their kabobs. The boys are more adventureous, willing to try it all. But The Girl stuck with her standard- beef, onions and potatoes :)
Oh- and like my new song? I've been kind of obsessed with this song/version for months now...not sure why but I psychotically LOVE it. Okay- that's not entirely true, I do know why I love it, as the song in general reminds me of my girlfriends, and there are certain lines in the song that remind me of certain friends- so everytime I listen to it, it's like being flooded with happy memories. One thing I am ever grateful for, is my friends. :)
So I listen to it over and over again...so I thought it's about time I put it on my blog :)
We have 2 of these trees in our front yard, and when they come into bloom in the spring the color always catches my breath a little. Makes the winters in MN worthwhile to have color like this to look forward to! :)
Our playgroup friends have a favorite toy of their guests- the Jeep! :) Here's The Girl with one of her friends. They were SO fun to watch driving around the yard :) I LOVE the 2nd picture- their expressions and wind whipping through their hair...I can just see them as teenagers on a road trip in 12 yrs :)
This photo makes me smile. A lot of the time when I talk to the dog he'll cock his head when he looks at me. ALWAYS makes me smile :)
The trio has discovered a partially fallen tree in our neighbors backyard- it's still alive, but close to the ground and fun to climb! :)
